Late April Updates

It's finally starting to feel like Spring and though I love cooler weather, I'm welcoming all the natural sunlight!

I've been browsing for clothes for my special lady Muse and I finally decided to get her a dress from Iplehouse. I ordered it last weekend so with EMS it arrived super fast! I took this pictures very quickly, but I think they turned out okay.

I'm Pro-BJD Artists Only

A lot has happened in the past few days on the topic of counterfeit/recasts BJDS and a individual named Luo who has a vindictive agenda to cause serious damage to small and larger BJD artists alike. He is a large Chinese recaster and has registered several companies's trademarks (even their logos) in China and is attempting to do so in Europe and U.S.A. I believe the current list is up to 85+ that he is trying to register. This would give him the power to blackmail the original artists and claim their work as his own. I'm not great at explaining all of this, but  I found out this information from @Puffypuffers and @f15dolls (both on Instagram).

I will also link Musume.Desu blog post which does a wonderfully job summarizing and compiling all of the information gathered together so far.

So in light of this, I feel I need to be 100% clear on my stance. I also wanted to post this to my blog as well since I've stated this on my Instagram and Flickr.

I have always been pro-artist in this hobby and always will be. Also as a artist myself it would be a huge contradiction if I supported counterfeit/recasted dolls. And even if I wasn't an artists, this is wrong. I have listened both sides of this issue for several years and it hasn't gone anywhere. There is no debate. It's art thief no matter how you slice it. I'm very concerned for the future of this hobby and the artists. Their work and livelihoods are being ruined and it deeply hurts me to see other creatives go through this.

February Updates

Fable returned home two weekends ago from visiting AngelToast~ As usual she did a phenomenal job and I'm so thrilled with Fable's fresh look! ♡

Many of you have grown familiar with Fable's blue themes over the years but since getting Rune repainted I felt that Fable's unique blue scheme no longer worked. I've also made a lot of changes to my overall story and characters and I felt a more natural look worked better for my shape-shifting bohemian twins. Fable will still have the blue/lavender hair and I plan on making her an alpaca wig once I have sometime to clean and dye the fiber. I'd also like to repaint her tattoos hopefully in the spring or summer. I live in a humid climate so that can get a bit iffy. I have yet to try brush on sealant and it might be okay for tattoo work since I honestly don't see a point in investing in an airbrush set. Maybe if I could use it in my illustration work or if I was trying to be a face up artist.

I also wanted Fable to look a little less sad/grumpy. She still has her sass, but with the new changes to my story I feel I have a better sense of her character now and hopefully it will open up even more now.

I wish I got better photos, but it's winter and it's been extremely dark here so this was the best I could do for now.

Siren Muse the White Witch: Aesthetic Mood Boards

I've decided to go ahead and include Muse into my new story with Folklore and my other dolls. I didn't want all of them to be lumped into one story but each doll has their own character and individual backstory going on that I might as well include Muse and see where it leads me with her character.
