Attends well established art school and studying to be a Botanical Illustrator. 

The art school is set is a small city surrounded by historical buildings public parks and gardens. Folklore lives off campus in a studio apartment. She walks and sometimes rides her bike to class as well as to local shops and restaurants. Her apartment building and surrounding housing also are also occupied by other students or recent graduates. When she's not in class or busy with art projects she works part time interning at a botanical garden. Folklore also volunteers during the summer at a local wildlife conservation center. When she has time during the school year she volunteers at various places around campus and off campus on the weekends. During her holiday breaks from school she visits her family who live about 2 hours away.

Folklore accidentally discovers a secret magical realm which she beings to often escapes to. When first arriving to the magical land she crosses paths with two magical gypsy like twins, Fable and Rune. The twins befriend Folklore and take it upon themselves to protect and educate her about their world. Folklore often visits their treehouse and brings them gifts and treats from her world. Later on Folklore explores other parts of the realm and it is where she meets many of fascinating places, people, and creatures. Folklore is gifted magical abilities from an ancient white stag who ask her to help protect the realm from those who wish to kill or abuse magic.
